Hypoxia plays a crucial role in almost all acute and chronic diseases. The BINDER CB series CO2 incubator provides excellent growth conditions for mammalian cell and tissue cultures, precise control of oxygen concentrations down to 0,2 Vol.-% and an automatic hot air 180 °C decontamination cycle. Basic research on hypoxia sensing, signal领 and adaptation requires stabile and reproducible O2 levels, quick recovery times and cost-efficient gas consumption.

In combination with the O2 option all BINDER CB incubators provide physiological and pathological conditions down to 0,2 Vol.-%. The daily consumption rates for settings at 5 Vol.-% CO2 and 0,2 Vol.-% O2 are: 0,195g CO2, < 3g O2 and 143 g N2. Access via small doors, 4 (CB 53 & CB 150) or 6 (CB 210), reduce hypoxia break-down, accelerate recovery times and minimize the risk of contamination.
