文档简介pH-AmplifiedExponentialGrowthMultilayers:AFacileMethodtoDevelopHierarchicalMicro-andNanostructuredSurfacesJinhongFu,JianJi,LiyanShen,AlexanderKu¨ller,AxelRosenhahn,JiacongShen,andMichaelGrunze*Wereportadirectmethodtoamplifytheexponentialgrowthofmultilayerssignificantlybythealternatingdepositionofpolyethylenimine（PEI）athighpHandpoly（acrylicacid）（PAA）atlowpH.ThealternatingpHswitchesthedegreeofionizationofthepolyelectrolytesinthemultilayers,whichenhancesthediffusionofPEIintoandoutofthefilmandhenceincreasesthedepositedmasspercycle.ThesynergeticactionofthepH-tunablechargedensityanddiffusivityoftheweakpolyelectrolytesprovidesanewmethodfortheenhancedgrowthofmultilayerswithhierarchalmicroandnanostructuredsurfaces.
